Kokedama Workshop With JiaHao Peng
Kokedama Workshop With JiaHao Peng
Join us for the Kokedama Workshop this Saturday! Led by artist Jiahao Peng, participant will immerse themselves in crafting unique floral arrangements atop live ornamental plants rooted in moss balls. These creations are not only stunning but also enduring—while the fresh-cut flowers may fade, the moss ball and live plant can be watered and cared for to thrive for years. This technique seamlessly merges the art of traditional gardening with modern floral design.
Kokedama, which translates to “moss ball,” is a traditional Japanese gardening technique. It involves encasing a plant’s roots in a ball of soil, which is then wrapped in moss and secured with string or twine, creating a living, sculptural display.
